5 Best chicken Coops for 6 chickens

Introduction

A general guideline for a chicken coop for six chickens is to provide at least 4 square feet of interior space per bird for 6 chickens. I recommend a coop with at least 24 square feet of interior space. Additionally, the coop should have at least 10-12 square feet of outdoor space per chicken in the form of a securely fenced run.

It is packaged in two different boxes. You will get the first box, and the second should arrive the following day. However, Fairly uncomplicated to put together. There are a good number of dings, chips, and splits in the wood that you will observe. The timber is in a very dry state. You can tell it was painted in a hurry by looking at it.
So, if there has a robust aroma, It should disappear after being exposed to the elements for a few days. Therefore it is sufficient space, and there are four nests in all. The size of the run is just right. The roosting area for my four birds is roomy enough. It is easy to put together. After opening the box, placing the contents in the shed for three days will eliminate any odors that may have been present. Anyone who has never tried keeping hens before should consider purchasing this coop.

Even after a week of nonstop precipitation, this location has no leaks. The pull-out waste container is simple to remove and clean after use. 3. Chicken Coop 75.7″ Large Hen House Wooden Multilevel Poultry Cage with Run Nesting Box,6-10 Chickens

We did a lot of research and looked at many other chicken coops before deciding on this one, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! The asphalt roof is fantastic; it arrived even faster than anticipated; it may have taken a little longer than said for the two of us to construct, but it was worth taking our time to do it.
The holes for the screws had already been predrilled, and out of all of them, only one was off-center; it was going to cause a fracture in the wood, but we were able to take our Dremel and cut a new hole. I like that my locks the door from the inside. The chickens have adjusted to their new environment very well.

4. MAX 143.5″ Large Chicken Coop for 6-12 Chickens Outdoor Wooden Hen House with Wheel & Run, Extra Large Chicken Tractor Poultry Cage with 6 Nesting Boxes

I decided to take a risk despite all the negative reviews, and I’m pleased I did. Nice tiny coop, a few of the steps do not appear to be in the correct order, but we figured it out. The only area where I did not see pilot holes was for the wheels and the poles, but the placement seems more of a matter of personal opinion.

As I will not be leaving the door to the coop open constantly and will only move things when necessary, I cut the rope and re-rig the little run component attached to the coop.

So, It is not raccoon-proof without additional locks, and raccoons are crafty little rascals. Therefore, I recommend purchasing a few more latches for the front and rear coop doors, the door to the run, and many carabineers (about seven of the smaller ones) to secure them all with.
