1: Best Choice Products 70in Mobile Fir Wood Chicken Coop Tractor Hen House Poultry Cage for 3-5 Hens, Outdoor, Animal Care w/ Wheels, 2 Doors, Nest Box, Removable Tray, UV Panel

I bought this coop in December 2022 and have been using it daily since January! I took a lot of time to paint and seal all the pieces (inside & outside) before putting them together. I read all the reviews thoroughly; I added extra protection to the plastic roof with rabbit wire and made sure to screw down the boards in the nesting boxes. I keep this coop mostly in my house for my four pet silkies to sleep in at night, but I made it as weatherproof as possible so it will last and it can go outside if needed. This has been the perfect size for my chickens. I let them out in the backyard every morning and bring them back into their coop at night. There would need to be more space for them to roam if they didn’t get let out. I measured out all the dimensions so I knew what I was getting. I love it.

  • Built with naturally weather-ready fir wood, steel wire
  • An overhead hatch allows easy access to your chicken’s eggs

2:96″ Deluxe Large Wooden Chicken Coop Hen House on Wheels Indoor Outdoor Rabbit Hutch Poultry Cage w/Nesting Box and Removable Tray & Ramps

I bought this for a broody hen and chicks. It was the perfect size and function for growing out of juveniles. I bought two, and after I saw how nice they were, I wanted to buy a few more, but they were sold out. The delivery was prompt, and the product was as described. Some of the materials could be of better quality, but it is excellent for those who don’t have carpentry skills.

Features

  • Removable bottom sliding tray for easy cleaning
  • The Wooden Hen House is suitable for various poultry, such as chicken, duck, rabbit, etc.
  • Our wooden chicken cage design saves you time and effort.

Pros

Cons

·   Cute

·   Super flimsy

·   Perfect for several quail

·   Several entries

3: TRIXIE Mobile A-Frame Chicken Coop with Run, 2 Nesting Boxes, Roosting Poles, Wheels, Brown, Large

I bought this for my young chickens as a go-between the brooder and the big coop. The kit went together quickly and is well made. It’s exactly the size to fit on a 4’x8′ raised bed, which makes watching and caring for the chickens much easier than having them on the ground. I put six birds in there at 5-6 weeks old, with a small radiant heater inside. It’s been close to a month, and they love being in the middle of the garden (fresh greens daily). I like that when I’m done using this coop. I can easily remove it and store it out of the sun. It will be great to have if we ever need to separate a chicken or rooster from the flock for whatever reason. Things to note: the coop is relatively lightweight and does not have the floor. My chickens could scratch under the edges, so I lined the outside with bricks. A weight might help. I also added bird netting to keep the cats off it since the A-frame design is inviting to climb on. I added a pull string for the coop door, so I could open and close it without opening the big door, and hung a small feeder and waterer from the center. The nesting boxes it came with look small (I’m not using them; they come out, which is nice). I’m guessing this would only hold a couple of smaller adult birds or 4-5 bantams.

Features

  • Moving your coop around helps keep your yard fertilized and keeps your coop cleaner for your chickens
  • The small mesh galvanized metal grid and metal slide latches protect your flock from predators
  • Back solid wood panel shields them from the wind or weather elements while they stretch, peck and flap

Pros

Cons

·   Easy to assemble

·   Doors are not secure.

·   Solid wood construction

·   weatherproof finish

4:Fiveberry Magbean 98″ Wheel Solid Wood Chicken Coop Backyard Hen House 4-6 Chickens with Nesting Box

My backyard chickens love it. It’s sturdy, has excellent Ventilation, and is roomy enough for them to nest. My chicks are only one month and a few weeks old and are constantly enjoying this coop rather than being inside my house. It took two hours to assemble, and we covered the top with a thick plastic covering when it rains so that it doesn’t get into any cracks. We used a drill to assemble it, but a multi-head screwdriver also works fine. One con is that due to the design, you will be doing a lot of squatting to catch your chicks if they run away from you since there is no room to go inside. Otherwise, I love it, and so do they.

Features

  • Easily portable with wheels on, lightweight, durable with good Ventilation
  • Built-in ramp connected between floors with stair lock

Pros

Cons

⦁ chickens to move around comfortably

⦁   Wood quality is not good.

⦁ Protection from predators

⦁   expensive

⦁ Easy Access

5:kinbor Chicken Coop Hen House – 96in Wooden Poultry Cage with Wheels, Large Rabbit Hutch with Nesting Box, Removable Tray, and Large Running Area, Maximum for 5 Large-Bodied Hens

Before I purchased this, I read everyone’s reviews, and they helped with our decision to buy this coop. Someone mentioned that the directions were hard to follow, not to us. It was helpful that they showed exactly how many of each screw you needed and where they went. Very helpful!

It only took us about 45 minutes to put it together and get the chicks in it. There are a couple of things I noticed that I wanted to mention, though – the ramp is super steep; my chicks aren’t sure about it. The play yard is a little small – once you get two chicks down there, there isn’t much room. However, the roosting bars need to be put in place. We have four chicks a couple of months old in ours, and they’re okay for room right now, but once they get bigger, they cannot all fit in there comfortably if they need to.

Features

  • Caring for small animals is a fantastic experience that inspires empathy, care, and responsibility.
  • We use high-quality materials to make the product structure stable and durable, non-toxic and harmless, and can be easily used by your pets.
  • Waterproof material keeps the chicken’s living environment dry.

Pros

Cons

⦁  Nesting box, ramp, and sliding door

⦁  lack of aesthetic appeal

⦁  Large size
